About Submer
Submer enables organizations scaling AI to overcome the limits of traditional datacenters across power, compute density and efficiency.
We design and deliver scalable, high-density AI datacenter infrastructure built around industry-leading liquid cooling, supporting everything from early AI deployments to full-scale production environments.
Acting as a full-stack delivery partner, Submer provides advisory, design, build and IT integration through a single point of accountability, working with a deep ecosystem of technology specialists. This end-to-end approach accelerates time-to-AI while reducing operational cost, complexity and environmental impact.
The result is AI infrastructure that performs today, scales predictably and avoids the redesigns and inefficiencies slowing the market down.
What impact you will have
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on the DLC Product team, you’ll lead the end-to-end design and development of advanced direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems for data centers. You’ll play a key role in translating performance and reliability targets into scalable mechanical solutions, collaborating across disciplines to bring next-generation cooling technologies from concept to production.
What you’ll do
Own the mechanical architecture and design of DLC systems, including cold plates, manifolds, enclosures, and rack-level integration.
Collaborate with thermal, electrical, and controls teams to optimize overall system efficiency and reliability.
Conduct CFD and FEA simulations to validate thermal, structural, and flow performance.
Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) initiatives with vendors and fabrication partners.
Support prototype builds, performance testing, and design iteration cycles.
Document design specifications, test results, and release packages for production.
Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior and mid-level engineers.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in thermal management or data center hardware.
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and simulation tools (Ansys, COMSOL, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and materials for cooling systems.
Proven experience taking products from concept through production.
Excellent communication and documentation skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
Our job titles may span more than one job level. The actual base pay is dependent on a number of factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
What we offer
Attractive compensation package refleting your expertise and experience.
A great work environment characterised by friendliness, international diversity, flexibility, and a hybrid-friendly approach.
You´ll be part of a fast-growing scale-up with a mission to make a positive impact, offering an exciting career evolution.
