About Submer
Submer enables organizations scaling AI to overcome the limits of traditional datacenters across power, compute density and efficiency.
We design and deliver scalable, high-density AI datacenter infrastructure built around industry-leading liquid cooling, supporting everything from early AI deployments to full-scale production environments.
Acting as a full-stack delivery partner, Submer provides advisory, design, build and IT integration through a single point of accountability, working with a deep ecosystem of technology specialists. This end-to-end approach accelerates time-to-AI while reducing operational cost, complexity and environmental impact.
The result is AI infrastructure that performs today, scales predictably and avoids the redesigns and inefficiencies slowing the market down.
What impact you will have
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing advanced control and monitoring systems that ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of DLC (Direct Liquid Cooling) products. This role blends control system design, embedded software development, and cross-disciplinary integration with electrical, thermal, and mechanical subsystems.
What you’ll do
Design, simulate, and implement control algorithms for temperature regulation, flow balancing, leak detection, and system safety.
Develop embedded software and firmware for real-time system control.
Interface with sensors, pumps, valves, and other electro-mechanical components.
Integrate control systems with higher-level monitoring and management platforms (BMC, SCADA, or cloud-based dashboards).
Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering teams to ensure robust system integration.
Conduct hardware-in-loop and field-level testing of control logic in prototypes and pilot systems.
Analyze test data, optimize control performance, and ensure system stability across varying workloads.
Develop control documentation, calibration procedures, and contribute to product requirement specifications.
Support design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and system validation testing.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Control Systems, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
3+ years of experience in control systems design, preferably in thermal management, HVAC, or fluid-handling systems.
Proficiency in embedded programming (C/C++ or Python) and/or PLC environments (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
Strong understanding of feedback control, PID tuning, and signal conditioning.
Hands-on experience with data acquisition, sensor integration, and actuator control.
Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, I2C, or RS-485.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and system-level problem-solving skills.
Our job titles may span more than one job level. The actual base pay is dependent on a number of factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
What we offer
Attractive compensation package refleting your expertise and experience.
A great work environment characterised by friendliness, international diversity, flexibility, and a hybrid-friendly approach.
You´ll be part of a fast-growing scale-up with a mission to make a positive impact, offering an exciting career evolution.
