As the demand for high-density compute and energy efficiency grows, Submer is scaling globally. We are looking for a high-caliber Associate Chief of Staff to be based in Barcelona to help drive our execution capabilities on the ground and align global strategy with local delivery.
What impact you will have
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Associate Chief of Staff to join our Transformation Department. In this critical role, you will act as a trusted advisor, providing high-level support to senior leadership while driving organizational change, optimizing processes, and enhancing strategic initiatives. Your ability to manage cross-functional collaboration, handle multiple high-priority projects, and synthesize complex data to inform key decisions will be crucial to our success.
As the Associate Chief of Staff, you will be the linchpin in executing and ensuring the success of transformative initiatives. Your organizational and analytical expertise will help drive impactful business outcomes and contribute to our long-term strategic goals.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Strategy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, business operations, strategy consulting, or a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Proven ability to manage high-impact projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally to drive initiatives, ensure alignment, and meet business goals.
- A proactive, resourceful mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and provide solutions.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
What you’ll do:
Strategic partnership & execution: Collaborate with the Transformation Department and senior leadership to ensure the execution of high-priority initiatives, aligning them with overarching business objectives.
Project management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics, ensuring accountability and progress tracking throughout the execution of key projects.
Data-driven insights: Conduct thorough research and data analysis to provide actionable insights that inform and support leadership decision-making.
Process optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements across departments, working to enhance operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a bridge between departments to align business goals and facilitate collaboration, ensuring smooth execution of transformation efforts.
Executive support: Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and briefings to communicate project status and support leadership’s strategic decision-making.
Communication management: Manage internal and external communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across all stakeholders.
Thought leadership: Contribute to shaping and refining the company’s transformation strategy, bringing fresh insights and innovative ideas to the table.
